20 - 24 September 2015 • Leipzig, Germany
We are happy to announce a technical excursion to the Chemical Park Bitterfeld / Wolfen - one of the oldest chemical locations of Germany.
History and transition of Chemical Industry The regions of Bitterfeld-Wolfen has a long tradition as a site of chemical production dating back to the 19th century.
Since the late 1980s it went through a challenging phase of transition, in which the historic chemical production was closed down and partially replaced by modern production in a 'chemical park', of HPV chemicals as well as highly specialized products in small enterprises.
We will visit the museum, showing the history of this traditional site in Wolfen, learn about the specialties of a 'chemcial park' and visit a modern production site.
